OptimIT d.o.o. is a software development company specializing in systems based on Java and Open Source technologies.

We primarily develop and work on:

• eCommerce solutions (webshops) – including a 20-year partnership with A1 Croatia
• Document Management Systems (DMS) – with a focus on DocDoc.C, our cloud-based DMS
• EDInet – electronic document exchange and fiscalization
• Custom-made solutions tailored to our clients’ needs

What will you be doing?

• You will develop software using the Java programming language. You will customize applications according to the needs of users and clients, using cutting-edge technologies and development practices.
• You will write code. It is important to us that you care about writing code that is well-structured, easy to test, and scalable, so that the end product not only delivers for our users but also makes your colleagues happy.
• You will work as part of a team. You will communicate with the rest of the team on a daily basis and, when needed, take the lead and mentor junior team members.
• Depending on the department, you will maintain existing applications as well as develop new features for them.
• You will use agile methodologies such as SCRUM, KANBAN, etc., as well as tools such as JIRA and Confluence. You will also participate in backlog analysis, sprint planning, task definition, and similar activities.
• You will participate in all stages of a project, from planning and implementation to deployment to production and ongoing system maintenance.

Do you recognize yourself in any of the following?

• You have experience programming in Java
• You have used tools such as GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, …
• You are familiar with web technologies and understand how web applications work
• You are familiar with HTTP-based APIs (REST and web services)
• You are familiar with databases such as Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and know how to use SQL and SQL tools such as DBeaver
• You are comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as Angular, React.JS, Vue.JS
• If you have previously worked on developing eCommerce web applications using platforms such as Intershop, Hybris, eCommerce tools, Shopify, or similar, that’s an additional big plus for us 😊
• It would also be great if you are familiar with the operating systems we work with – MS Windows and Linux
